Welcome to the PennERA web site. Here you will find information on both the PennERA
and PennERS projects, as well as the most current developments on these project initiatives.
You will also be able to access available applications from this site. Keep in mind, both of these
projects have multiple components, which means some applications may not be available yet and/or
accessibility to applications may be restricted.
Use the left toolbar to find information on the applications. Applications that are clickable
in the menu are available and those that are grayed out will be released in later phases of the
projects. For quick access to available applications, click the "LOGON" link in the top or left toolbar.
Penn's Electronic Research Administration system, or PennERA, is the suite of web-based
applications that streamline processes and provide more efficient tools for handling pre- and
post award administrative tasks related to the sponsored projects of Penn's academic research
community. PennERA is a full life-cycle system for research project development, support, and
management. For background information and information about completed and upcoming

Penn's Effort Reporting System, or PennERS, is an initiative designed to increase awareness of the
regulatory requirements and provide better technological tools to meet the effort reporting needs
of Penn's research community. PennERS is currently in the development phase, so no applications
are available at this time. For project information, see the PennERS overview page at
