Please bookmark this page and check it regularly for advisories and useful suggestions for using PennERA. The most recent advisories and tips appear at the top. When a problem has been resolved, RESOLVED and the date will appear in the right hand column for five business days and then the item will be removed from the list and placed into the Advisories Archive. To search the text on this page, use "Control+F" on your keyboard to bring up a search box.

12/21/2007	Proposal Development	Difficulties in accurately rendering some scientific and foreign language symbols in uploaded files converted to PDF output files (when using Arial or Helvetica fonts).	In all documents to be converted to PDF by Proposal Development use either Palatino Linotype or Georgia fonts for documents containing scientific or foreign language characters -- OR -- Convert all documents to PDF before uploading them to Proposal Development
10/26/2006	Proposal Development	Ending your session	Remember to use the application's "Done" button in the upper left-hand corner when exiting the proposal you are working on. Closing the proposal any other way may result in you remaining logged on to the proposal which may inhibit other users (the PI, other administrators in the office, etc.) from editing it. Also, use the "Logout" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen when exiting PennERA.
10/26/2006	Proposal Development	Personnel on Senior/Key Persons and Personnel pages	When creating a subcontract, non-key personnel do not always appear on the Senior/Key Persons or Personnel screens. To the best of our knowledge this information is not required by the sponsor therefore the system will not stop you from completing the proposal creation and review process.
